Same 12 proposals, two ways to screen them

The usual request: qualify incoming applications before a person sees them. The naive way is to send every document to a model. It is expensive, and the client cannot see why someone was dropped. The other way is a cheap mechanical layer first, then the model only on who survived — with a quote from the text under every decision.

Left: every proposal goes to the model. Right: rules fire first, for free. Same model, same prompt, same 12 synthetic applications. Change a criterion below and run again — the funnel moves.

All applications are synthetic. No real people.

Criteria — edit and run

Try turning off "Require a portfolio link" or raising the rate ceiling to 200. The next run is a different funnel.

Every proposal to the model

no rules · 12 calls on this pack

The model sees spam, templates and off-platform asks too. You pay for them, and the reason is an opinion, not a rule you can point at.

Rules first, model on survivors

mechanical layer · then the same model

Dropped applications show the rule and a phrase from the text. The model is only asked about people the rules could not decide.
